Mrs. Smiths’ English baked-beans breakfast

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Sil Baked Beans
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons pancake or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • Coriander or parsley for garnish

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees celsius
  2. Stir together the beans, onions, sugar, syrup and sauces. Pour into a baking dish.
  3. Place into the oven and bake until brown, about 35-40 minutes.
  4. Once removed from oven, garnish with coriander or parsley and serve while hot, preferably with buttered toast.
